Scriber Lake STARS Treatment Program
The Scriber Lake Stars Program (Students Taking Addiction Recovery Seriously) offers a unique opportunity for youth in an alternative school setting to gain outpatient treatment for substance abuse issues while continuing to successfully complete school. This treatment program is limited to students attending Scriber Lake High School or the Options Program.
About the Program
Youth possess the ability to solve their challenges and live full, healthy lives when support is available. Scriber Lake STARS Program offers that support. The Center for Human Services defines success for our STARS Program as meeting the client's individual needs. We measure this through our ability to retain a client for 90 days and eventually help them to complete their treatment goals successfully. Thus, increasing our completion and retention rates for the program.

Services include:

Assessment: The Global Assessment of Individual Needs (GAIN) tool is utilized for assessment. Staff are certified to administer this evidence-based tool.
Outpatient & Intensive Outpatient Treatment: Placement into these programs is based on American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria. The program utilizes the evidence-based treatment curriculum called Seven Challenges. Groups, individual sessions and family sessions are provided as indicated based on individual needs.
