Shoreline Substance Abuse Program
An array of services is available at our Shoreline location to meet the individual needs of youth and adults in our community. Our treatment services for youth are separated from our treatment services for adults. Prevention and intervention services are also offered by our Shoreline staff.

Treatment Services include:
Assessment: The Global Assessment of Individual Needs (GAIN) tool is utilized for assessment with both youth and adults. Staff are certified to administer this evidence-based tool.
ADATSA assessments are available for eligible clients referred through DSHS.
Outpatient & Intensive Outpatient Treatment: CHS offers Outpatient (OP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Treatment for both adults and youth. Placement into these programs is based on American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria. Groups, individual sessions and family sessions are provided in both programs as indicated based on individual needs.
Adult Drug Court Program: CHS offers an Adult Drug Court Program that is specifically designed for adults who are referred by Drug Court. These clients participate in treatment Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Treatment or Outpatient (OP) Treatment separate from our general population IOP and OP groups and deal with the specific issues of clients involved with the judicial system.
Passages to Change Program (PTC): The Passages to Change Program is designed for individuals with significant legal involvement who do not quite "fit" into either the youth or adult program (ages 16 to 25). Most of the clients in this program have legal involvement. PTC uses the evidence based practice of A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach).
Co-Occurring Disorders Program: CHS has counselors who are trained to work with clients who suffer from both mental health and substance abuse issues. The Co-Occurring Programs (both youth and adult) offer group counseling, individual counseling, family counseling, medication management, and extensive case management for clients who have a co-occurring disorder (dual diagnosis).

Prevention and Intervention Services include:
ADIS: Alcohol Drug Information School is conducted once a month for those clients requiring ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs) education. It is facilitated by a CDP on a designated Saturday from 9a.m.-6p.m. The cost is $75.00. Pre-payment and registration is required. Call 206 631-8831 for details. 
Inside Out: Inside Out is no longer a program offered at CHS. We are now offering a new LGBTQ program True Colors.
