With the expansion of our counseling department, CHS work now encompasses
family mental health needs and counseling outreach to our community.
The department will be jointly guided by our new Director of Family
Counseling, Miriam Hunt and our Clinical Director,
Jerry Evergreen.
Miriam will oversee family mental health needs while Jerry will
manage our GLBTQ youth support programs, youth suicide prevention initiative
work, the Nick Evergreen Fund, and our intern/extern program.
Our highly trained therapists hold degrees in psychology or social work,
with many Licensed Mental Health Counselors and/or advanced post-graduate
trained. Our department serves as a training facility for graduate level
psychotherapy interns, who come to us with varied experiences and receive
thorough training and supervision both at their graduate institution and by
experienced therapists working in the counseling department at CHS.
